The role

This role is part of the Financial Services leadership team and will have a direct impact on the future application of AI and data science in the banking industry, helping our clients to harness the power of their data to drive improved outcomes. Our solutions generate strategic insights, better pricing and credit risk decisions, improved channel utilisation (branch, digital and beyond) and more targeted and effective marketing, all delivered at scale.    

As the Executive Manager, Banking, you will continue to develop the strategy and offerings for the vertical, delivering data science and AI transformation projects and build teams to execute work within our Banking clients. Your role will ensure we are creating value for our clients and owning the growth of Quantium’s relationship with our biggest, high priority Banking client.  

You will engage with our key client stakeholders to understand the toughest problems they are trying to solve, and you will work with the team to translate those complex issues into data science solutions and commercial opportunities. You will be responsible for delivering a revenue target which will require identifying potential opportunities, developing client relationships and selling compelling propositions as well as advising high performing teams to deliver outstanding client value. 

More about you 

Your experience is likely to include a blend of strategy / management consulting, program / project management and business development / client account management gained in a consulting environment, with projects focused on a data science / analytical solution You will have demonstrated success in a similar role, ideally with experience in Banking and relationships within the Banking industry. 

Our teams are solving problems that haven’t previously been tackled in these industries. With multiple teams and projects, you’ll be a pragmatist and strategic thinker who loves working with clients to solve complex issues. You are comfortable operating in an ambiguous, high growth environment where you have taken ideas from conception through to delivery of a solution.  

We know talent can come in different shapes and forms, but some key things we need to see from you include:    

  • Demonstrable experience in identifying, scoping and winning new work at existing and new clients and forming deep client relationships in the banking industry
  • At least 5 years experience operating in a senior consultative sales role in a high growth environment selling and delivering complex data and analytics focused projects to banking organisations ($200k - $5m deals)
  • Experience engaging and influencing Head of / GM level client stakeholders on complex business issues, leveraging capability to build long-term relationships  
  • Sharp problem-solving skills with experience partnering with clients and stakeholders to solve complex commercial problems using a data focused approach  
  • Experience in developing and managing high performance teams 
  • Curious, with a passion for driving positive change, you have a collaborative and engaging style and thrive in a high growth business, seizing the opportunities that come along with that
