The Senior Consultant is experienced in strategy and client engagement, as well as how to use data to solve problems. As a Senior Consultant you will oversee teams of consultants and analysts across a range of consulting projects. Success will see you partnering with clients to start or continue their data journey and strengthen our commercial relationships.

The Senior Consultant will also work with senior executives to realise the strategic direction through thought leadership and business development for key clients. The Senior Consultant supports the Lead Consultant on projects to transform client questions and issues into analytical and strategic solutions as well as advising on how these can be implemented. 

Success will see you partnering with clients to start or continue their data journey and strengthen our commercial relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of projects or modules within a project to clients, from briefing through to execution, ensuring adherence to quality standards
  • Accountable for the delivery of a project stream, deliverables, and success across for the portion the project they are responsible for
  • Use insight to present compelling stories that deliver tangible value for our clients
  • People management (graduates / analysts / consultants) including setting objectives and KPIs, performance reviews, feedback, career mentoring, career pathing for direct reports
  • Contribute to building capabilities of QHealth employees
  • Support the Lead Consultant and executives with business development and thought leadership for clients

About you

At Quantium, our team are solving problems that haven’t previously been tackled in these industries. With multiple teams and projects on a massive scale, you’ll be a pragmatist and a true innovator who loves to solve complex issues and doesn’t shy away from ambiguity.

Experience and skills required

  • Typically 5+ years’ experience in a consulting environment, ideally with exposure to data and analytics work and fluency with major concepts and applications for data in the health and / or government spheres
  • Experience in project management, accountability and leadership, including effective delegation and leading a small team
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, as well as good client engagement standards
  • Good independent slide and prose writing skills
  • Experience researching and identifying new opportunities which convert to wins, then managing project execution
  • Commercial acumen to understand business needs and be able to suggest the commercial impacts of different approaches
  • Strong people management skills
  • Client stakeholder / relationship management skills
  • Australian citizenship is essential
